God’s Word teaches that we worship the Lord by bringing Him our tithe, which is 10% of our income. When we give in addition to our tithe, it is called an offering.
God tells us in His Word that He loves a cheerful giver, which is why we always want to create opportunities to give as He leads us with a cheerful heart, through no obligation.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart what to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
